As a next step in the evolution of our environmental sustainability efforts at Labcorp, we joined more than 2,000 businesses and financial institutions in 2021 by committing to participate in Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), which drives ambitious climate action in the private sector by enabling organizations to set science-based emissions reduction targets. In 2023, SBTi approved our targets to:
- Reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 42% by 2030
- Reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 25% by 2030
